Restarting My Technical Blog

I would image the large majority of you really don’t care, but just in case you do, here you go. I am now restarting my technical blog again. I even have a new design. There you will see my ramblings on being a developer with a focus on the various tools that I use to do my job. Just in case you didn’t know, I do programming between 40 and 60 hours a week as my main source of income (and one of my sources of fun). So I actually spend more of my time thinking about programming than Greek or Early Christian studies.

And this goes way back (way back in internet years), the name of that site, TheCodingHumanist.com goes back to my old mixed biblical studies/technical blog on blogspot which I started in 2004.

As it turns out the design isn’t quite what I expected. I did the new design on my laptop and checked it in Firefox and IE 7, uploaded it and checked in on my desktop. I thought "Well that’s weird. The color is supposed to be green, not blue." So I chalked it up to a badly calibrated desktop monitor. Then I went to work and had a coworker look at it. Blue again. Hmmm...well, it appears that I need to get my laptop’s monitor re-calibrated. When I figure out how to do that, I can get the color I want, which is a design with dominant greens, not blues. And I also noticed an IE 6 layout issue, but it is minor and that blog gets little traffic from IE 6. I’ll get around to it eventually.

Anyway, if you are interested in such things, drop on by that blog as well. And thanks for reading this one!

It looks sort of half way between green and blue to me - a sort of teal or something like that...

Indeed. I is supposed to have a little blue-ish tinge to it, but the dominant color is supposed to be green. Cest la vie...

It currently looks blue to me, but I’m a bit color blind on brown-green. Actually it does look kinda teal colored now that Mike has mentioned it.
